Margo Berkowitz is an of-counsel commercial and business lawyer at Setter Roche Smith  & Shellenberger LLP, with an emphasis on the technology sector.  Margo’s practice includes software licensing, commercial transactions, data privacy matters, and other business-related issues.

Margo is CIPP/US Privacy Certified and has experience counseling clients with respect to a variety of privacy matters such as GDPR compliance and data privacy as it applies to transactional matters.  Ad tech and its intersection with data privacy has been a special point of emphasis for Margo.

Margo joined Setter Roche in 2020 after serving as in-house counsel to a $2B multinational technology company and an advertising technology company.    Margo’s goal with every client is to provide solutions that balance business objectives with effective legal strategies.  Margo enjoys skiing, hiking, and rooting for Pittsburgh sports teams.
